Wine Trail
Marlborough is now producing nearly 50% of New Zealand's wines; Nelson is also an excellent producer. Tania has a great relationship with many of the vineyards and her personalized wine tours are proving very popular - from the smaller boutique vineyards to the larger estates - let Tania take you to the producers who will match your taste. Also she is happy to make recommendations and send you on your own, there is even a bike the vineyard option!

Golf
Marlborough hosts several great golf courses in spectacular settings.
Time from Lodge - 1 hour . Time needed 6-8 hours.

Picton
Entrance to the South Island via the Ferry. This quaint little seaside town is known for being the gateway to the Sounds. Filled with local artists and cafes, it makes a great afternoon. The journey along the Queen Charlotte Drive from the Lodge to Picton is worth its weight in gold.
Time from Lodge - 40 minutes . Time needed half day.


 

Wairau Valley Tour
Imagine clear skies, rolling hills, a wide river valley and clear sparkling water, add to this some interesting folk and some truly rural experiences. The Wairau is a classic braided South Island river - fast flowing, cool and clear, very popular with local fishermen. A day trip up the Wairau Valley lets you enjoy handmade soaps and body products from Jeymar Soaps, 2 ½ acres of cottage gardens at Leighvander Cottage with over 100 varieties of lavender, perfect for gifts. Several farms to experience, such as Salmon and Koura farm, River Terrace farm for sheep milking and cheese making. Plus at Barbara's Store, enjoy the tranquility of the Alpacas
