The Mudbrick Guesthouse is made up of two superbly appointed self-contained suites. It is a stone's throw from the main lodge along a lit path through the pergola. These suites have been newly renovated through winter 2006, with the addition of kitchenettes. This is to give our guests the flexibility of self catering or having meals from the house. Tania has ensured that everything is provided, and Mudbrick Lodge can be your home away from home.
The Suites are open plan and contain a Super King sized bed, with 100% percale cotton linen, feather pillows, down duvets and cotton waffle blankets. Each Suite has a full ensuite with shower, toilet and hand basin and is furnished with 100% Egyptian cotton towels and locally handmade toiletries. An additional single bed can be added to each suite for children if required.
A four-person spa pool is also situated just outside the cottage in the garden. Here you can immerse yourself in a piping hot spa pool, sipping a cold drink, while gazing at the canopy of stars above. Great way to end a perfect day of exploring.
Each suite is fully equipped with its own complete kitchen. Tania being a chef – has ensured that all the basics are provided with cutlery, crockery, utensils etc. The pantry is fully stocked with all the basic essentials, anything you may be missing Tania is sure to have in her pantry.
Both Suites have a comfortable lounge area that includes wine cellar, and minibar, stereo, magazines, books and games. There are no TV’s in the Suites, however the main house has a TV, and a broadband connection of which guests have full access to.
For the duration of your stay your Suite is regularly restocked with fresh fruit and home baking. Breakfast is either served to you in the main house, or the provisions can be left for you to make yourself in your own time.
Meals are available from the Main House, served in your suite or with the family in the house. See Tania’s sample menus. (Tania is a professional chef from a previous life!)
The Classic Suite is upstairs in the guest house and has gorgeous wood lined ceilings with dormer windows looking out over the valley. The Classic Suite is a delightful light and airy suite.
Downstairs, the Deluxe suite boasts a feature double shower and a potbelly stove in the corner provides extra warmth if needed. The Deluxe Suite has views to the garden through the French doors and across the wisteria-covered verandah. It also has full disabled access.
